Hi! It has been an amazing first week so far. La professessa prima (that would be Dr. Donohue, to those who haven not yet heard she earned the Faculty Achievement Award) has provided the subject of wonderful photos, to be posted soonish.
Mia cara & I had a wonderful day in Firenze, including groovy finds at Mercato Centrale and excellent dinner near Ponte Vecchio.
A student dude named Pete was playing guitar on the ledge at Ponte Trinite ... I introduced myself and we talked for awhile (maybe a long while, as Stacey got to wondering where the heck I was ... ooops). He had excellent travel advice. :)
